God of the Valley.

God of the valley.
It was summer of 1985, vacation time from music school. Being a student of music, wanted to utilize the vacation time for good practice and bring out good result in music. Planned to choose lonely and quite place for riyaz (practice).Kapil Dhar near Beed in Maharashtra. It is great green valley with waterfall, very calm, serene, extended far down deep, beautiful creation of nature, very much natural world around, mostely undisturbed by human being.Pleasent scenery, spectacuiar view, great experience to enjoy the the nature.
Shri Manmath Swami One of the great saints of Maharashtra.Spend his whole life in the valley to do tapascharya (years of meditation} and emerged as a God of the valley. No one staying in the valley except Pujariji and one more person follower of the Swamiji.Any way I reached the destination with my baggag.Checked with pujariji that I am going to stay for two months and if you could provide the food and I will pay for that. He agreed. My goal was to work very hard on music, I was young, determined, well focused, not to west single second at any cost. To become an artist or musician is not an essay deal, requires hard work, dedication, concentration, sacrifice, one has to stay away from every thing at least for ten years of studentship and I guess rest of your life, to be creative one has to be in your own world, still you have to be a member of the society. Cannot be a Baiju Bawara in modern days.
My day use to start early morning four o clock to end by eleven-pm.No rest in between, only meal breaks. Using different spot for different day was giving satisfaction for practice. That is how every object of the valley was getting familiar to my music.
I had a good session for two months. It was like performing aaradhana (of swara) before the God of the valley.
Vedang Dharashive.
