Eye Health.

Increasing oxygen flow to the eyes is crucial for maintaining good vision, mainly achieved by improving blood circulation through aerobic exercise (walking, running), a healthy diet rich in vitamins A and C (leafy greens, citrus), and staying hydrated. Additionally, practicing blinking exercises, reducing screen time, and taking breaks (20-20-20 rule) helps prevent oxygen-depleting eye strain and dry eyes.
Key Methods to Increase Eye Oxygen Flow:
  • Aerobic Exercise: Regular, moderate exercise increases blood flow and oxygen delivery to eye tissues.
  • Nutrition and Diet: Consume foods rich in nutrients that support vascular health, such as Vitamin A (carrots, sweet potatoes) and Vitamin C (oranges, peppers).
  • Eye Exercises and Breaks:
    • 20-20-20 Rule: Every 20 minutes, look at something 20 feet away for 20 seconds to reduce strain.
    • Blinking: Frequent blinking keeps eyes moist, which is essential for oxygen transfer.
    • Palming: Rubbing hands together to create heat and cupping them over closed eyes can increase circulation.
  • Lifestyle Adjustments:
    • Quit Smoking: Smoking restricts blood flow and reduces oxygen levels.
    • Hydration: Proper water intake supports tear production and eye health.
  • Medical Interventions (for specific conditions): In cases of severe, diagnosed eye disease, doctors may recommend vasodilators or, in rare cases, procedures to reduce eye pressure and improve blood
